DESTREHAN – The first day of kindergarten can be a tough one – especially for parents. Most of the children at New Sarpy Elementary were excited about meeting new friends and embarking on an exciting school career.
However, for many parents, letting go was just a little bit tough.
Some parents put their children on the bus to ride to school and then showed up at the school doorway to take pictures as their little ones entered the building and walked to their classes.
Other parents drove their children to school and waited anxiously for the bell to ring.
