Historical association thanks parish for cleanup

Dear Editor:
On behalf of the St. Charles Museum and Historical Association, I would like to thank Parish President V.J. St. Pierre and his staff for the continued support and assistance afforded the association. I would also like to thank the Department of Parks and Recreation for refurbishing and maintaining the historical walkway at the West Bank Bridge Park.

The walkway was an official Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial project of the St. Charles Historical Foundation, designed and put it place in 2003 by member Jeff Roux.
In timeline format, the walkway provides an interesting overview of major historical events regarding St. Charles Parish.

The St. Charles Historical Foundation and the River Road Museum in Norco merged in 2006 to become the St. Charles Museum and Historical Association. We are grateful to have the support of our parish administrators in order to protect and preserve our rich history and tradition for future generations.

Sincerely,
Marilyn M. Richoux
President
