Area from Great Southern Furniture to Winn-Dixie still has power
It’s clear sailing on Highway 90 – at least from Boutte to Willowdale/Willowridge.
A St. Charles Parish resident was able to drive all the way from the Herald-Guide office in Boutte to Willowridge/Willowdale without encountering any obstructions in the road.
The resident reports that there is only minor damage in the area, with much of it having to do with residential and commercial roofs. Power is mostly out along 90, but the right side of 90, from Great Southern to Winn-Dixie, has power – at least in those areas near the highway.
Parish workers spent the day clearing all of the major roadways.
