Arrests
• Brad L. McPhail, 19, of 309 Almedia Plantation Rd., St. Rose, was arrested and charged with first degree attempted murder, armed robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor at 843 Goodhope St., Norco, on May 23. Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested on a warrant that was issued on May 23, for Att. First Degree Murder and armed robbery. On May 23, the above subject allegedly shot a 28 year-old River Ridge man in the head during a drug transaction. After the shooting McPhail allegedly took $600 from the victim. He is being held on a $750,000 bond set by Judge Granier.

During a traffic stop by a St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s deputy, Gary Eugene, Jr., 25, was arrested for growing marijuana and driving with a suspended license. […]

~ Sheriff Champagne reports that the subjects below were stopped for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed the subjects to be in possession of crack cocaine.
• Edward Potts, Jr., 47, of 127 Mott Ln., Des Allemands, was arrested for poss. of SCH II CDS to wit crack cocaine and no seat belt at Tinney & Kinler, Boutte, on May 13.
• Charlotte Pierre, 42, of 1730 LA 52, Luling, was arrested and charged with poss. of SCH II CDS to wit crack cocaine, poss. of drug paraphernalia, open alcoholic beverage in vehicle and SCSO attachment at Timney & Kinler, Boutte, on May 13.
• Leroy Pinckney, 46, of 726 King St., Charleston, Sc., was arrested and charged with poss. of SCH II CDS to wit crack cocaine at Timney & Kinler, Boutte, on May 13.

• Karen Falcon, 53, of 17 Bonura Dr., St. Rose, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and illegal discharge of a firearm on May 8. Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested following an altercation with her husband. During the altercation the subject allegedly cut the victim on legs with a kitchen knife and fire a shotgun into the wall of their residence. […]
Sgt. Bobby Gorman was severely injured when a Kenner man turned into his path of travel near the intersection of U.S. 61 and Riverbend Dr. in St. Rose the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office reported.

James Jackson, 31, of 1208 Paul Frederick St., Luling, was arrested and charged with reckless operation, driver not licensed, resisting an officer by flight, resisting arrest, poss. with intend to dist. cocaine and poss. of cocaine in the 300 Blk. of Alexander St., Boutte, on May 2. Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was stopped for suspicious person. As the officer attempted to stop the subject, he accelerated his vehicle turning the corner of LA 52 and Baily. Jackson then exited his vehicle while it was still in motion and fled into a wooded area. After a brief pursuit, Jackson was arrested and booked accordingly. Jackson was allegedly found in poss. of 34.5 grams of cocaine. […]
