ST. ROSE – The American Legion is sponsoring a blood drive with Ochsner Blood bank on Saturday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All donors will receive a blood bank t-shirt. Attendees should eat a healthy meal before donating and a picture ID is required. Individuals taking medication for high blood pressure or cholesterol can donate.
For every blood or platelet donation received, a financial contribution will be made to help wounded soldiers.
The blood drive will be held at the Ochsner Bloodmobile located at American Legion Hall at 12188 River Road in St. Rose.
