Alex gives back day

LULING – A benefit will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Alex Oxford, a local boy who was diagnosed last year with a degenerative brain disease.

Throughout the event, Oxford’s family and friends would like to give back to the community for all of their support. The event will feature live music by Faith in the Music, free jambalaya/pastalaya, a bounce house, face painting and games for the kids.  They are also holding a 50/50 raffle and a bake sale and all proceeds will be donated to the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter. In addition, a food drive will be held for United Way for Thanksgiving. The event will take place at First Baptist Church at 921 Paul Maillard Road in Luling.
