HOUMA – The Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) and Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) are presenting the 4th Annual Houma Heart and Soles Half-Marathon & 5K on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7 a.m.
The event will include a half-marathon race at 13.1 miles, a two-man relay at 6.55 miles per person and a 5K walk/run at 3.1 miles. The race has a unique “Red Carpet” finish inside of the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center.

Participants are invited to stay after the race to enjoy music and food from local vendors. An awards ceremony will be held for top finishers, and all half-marathon finishers will receive a medal to commemorate their accomplishment.Other event features will include a chip device to time each participant; live results immediately posted, photo booth, social media updates for friends and family, video of your red carpet finish and custom photograph along the route. CIS and TGMC have teamed up to support this event in order to raise funds to provide cardiovascular screenings and education for the community of Terrebonne Parish.
The event will be held at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center located at 346 Civic Center Blvd. in Houma.
