Mimosa Dolphins dominate Bellemeade

The Mimosa Dolphins dominated Bellemeade in their first swim meet of the season, winning 588 to 241.

For the Mimosa boys, Rhett Comeaux, Evan Fuselier and Seth Mullins each finished first in three events. Comeaux won the freestyle in the 11-12 age group, and also captured the top spot in the breaststroke and the butterfly. Fuselier, who competed in the 7-8 age group, won the freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke.

Mullins finished on top in the 15-to-18-year-old freestyle, backstroke and butterfly.

Jackson Phillips, Aidan Machado, Mikey McGuire and Austin Dufrene each took home two first-place finishes for the Dolphins, while Drew Bode, Preston Bourgeois and Destin Gilbert also had first-place finishes.

The Mimosa girls also swam past the competition, with Anna Fuselier and Sarah Gassen each winning three events.

Fuselier took the top spot in the 9-10-year-old freestyle, backstroke and butterfly. Gassen won the freestyle in the 11-12 age group while also taking the title in the backstroke and the breaststroke.

Emma Claire Bode and Logan Tauzin each won two events, while Marin Machado, Kylie Dufrene, Danielle Templet and Annemarie McMillan finished first in one event.
