Arrests
• Juan Salazar, 47, of 3309 Iowa Avenue in Kenner, was arrested July 29 and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
• Courtney Stroud, 45, of 14037 Pardo Road in Natalby, was arrested July 28 and charged with identity theft.
• Chante Landry, 36, of 146 Hickory Street in Boutte, was arrested July 26 and charged with theft.
• Charlotte Simmons, 58, of 515 Paul Fredrick Street in Luling, was arrested July 26 and charged with possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia and second-degree battery.
• Harold Garay, 44, of 57 Melrose Drive in Destrehan, was arrested July 26 and charged with domestic abuse battery – child endangerment.
• Francis Schmalz, 20, of 139 Clement Street in New Sarpy, was arrested July 26 and charged with domestic abuse battery – strangulation, resisting an officer and simple battery. He was a fugitive (three counts).
• Keith Thomas, 30, of 11 Ridgewood Drive in LaPlace, was arrested July 25 and charged with stalking and simple damage to property.
• Percy Smith, 55, of 504 St. Rose Avenue in St. Rose, was arrested July 24 and charged with hit and run driving with no personal injury, threatening a public official (three counts), traffic violation, DWI and monetary instrument abuse.
• Hoyt Adams, 50, of 737 Ayo Lane in Paradis, was arrested July 24 and charged with theft from a building.
• William McCoy, 24, of 404 Liberty Road in Picayune, was arrested July 24 and charged with residential contractor fraud. He had an attachment.
