Sheriff’s Reports 9-27-2006

Arrests

•Gilbert P. Bartholomew, 41, of 123 East 6th St. in Edgard was arrested on Sept. 24 on U.S. 90 at I-310 and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possesssion of 28 grams of cocaine.

•Joshua A. Champagne, 26, of 518 Ellington Ave. was arrested on Sept. 18 on LA 18 in Luling and charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule one controlled dangerous substance to wit marijuana, not stopping at a stop sign and possession of drug paraphernalia. Champagne was stopped for a traffic violation, and further investigation revealed him to be in possession of a large amount of marijuana.

•Alexander S. Ciaccio, 20, of 5 Houmas Place in Destrehan was arrested on Sept. 21 and charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery.

•Christina L. Everett, 19, of 935 E. Lawson St. in New Sarpy was arrested on Sept. 18 on East Lawson Street and charged with aggravated battery and disturbing the peace by fighting.  Everett was arrested following an altercation with a 19-year-old St. Rose woman.  During the altercation, the subject allegedly struck the victim on the back of the head with a baseball bat.  The victim was treated at St. Charles Hospital for injuries.

•Arthur Issac III, 42, of 11 Magnolia Ridge in Boutte was arrested on Paul Frederick Street in Luling on Sept. 18 and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and no driver’s license.

•Horace A. Joseph, 27, of 187 Vidal Lane in Ama was arrested on Sept. 21 on Paul Maillard Road in Luling and charged with unauthorized entry, violation of a protective order, simple criminal damage, simple battery resisting an officer by flight and fugitive from Jefferson Parish.

•Johnell Milton, 33, of 203 West 2nd St. in Edgard was arrested on Sept. 24 on U.S. 90 at I-310 and charged with possession with intent to distrubute cocaine, possession of 28 grams of cocaine, no driver’s license, inproper lane use and an attachement.

•Wanda Y. Walls, 49, of 353 Coretta Dr. in Avondale was arrested on Sept. 20 at the intersection of LA 48 and River Point Dr. in Destrehan and charged with possession of a schedule two controlled dangerous substance, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, driver’s license not on person, no seatbelt, driving under supension, possession of drug paraphernalia and a fugitive charge for the Westwego Police Department.

•Charles White Jr., 43, of 489 Killona Dr. in Killona was arrested on Sept. 18 at the intersection of LA 3127 and LA 3141, and charged with aggravated battery.
White was arrested on a warrant that was issued on Jan. 11 for the above charge.  On Dec. 5 of last year, the subject was involved in an altercation with a 48-year-old Vacherie man who suffered a broken jaw, bruised ribs and lost all of his front teeth.

Thefts

•A AM/FM compact disc player, valued at $100, was stolen out of a vehicle at 1 Wildcat Lane in Destrehan on Sept. 18.

•A compact disc player and a radar detector, valued at $549, was stolen out of a vehicle from 314 Ormond Meadows in Destrehan on Sept. 19,

•An AM/FM compact disc player, valued at $150, was stolen out of a vehicle from 93 Ormond Meadows in Destrehan on Sept. 19.

•A compact disc player and case with assorted compact disc, valued at $550, were stolen out of a vehicle from 304 Ormond Meadows in Destrehan on Sept. 19.

•A lawn mower, two weed eaters, and four full gas tanks, valued at $1936, was stolen from 119 Warren Drive in Luling on Sept. 22.

•Assorted plumbing, valued at $942, was stolen from 105 Magnolia Manor in Boutte on Sept. 22.
