Theresa Guedry, 87, entered the gates of heaven with family at her side on June 28, 2018 just three days shy of her 88th birthday.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Roger A. Guedry Jr., loving mother of Roger J. Guedry Sr., Beverly Andrews (husband, Greg), Mary Ann Conzonere (husband, Randy); loving grandmother to nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild, loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and loving sister-in-law
She is daughter of the late Eunice Young Duplessis and Alcee Duplessis.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Theresa was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, a devoted Catholic and a woman of great faith. She always had a prayer list and prayed daily for many others.
She had a contagious smile that would brighten up the room and lift the spirits of others. Theresa loved to go play Bingo, especially when she won.
She loved playing Solitaire with cards, until she learned how to play on a tablet. She loved to color pictures on her own and with her grandchildren. Theresa loved going to their camp in Mississippi. One of her favorite pastimes there was fishing and teaching her grandchildren, too.
One of her grandchildren’s favorite memories is while spending time with them at their camp was of her fixing them all morning cups of coffee milk along with breakfast.
She was a wonderful cook! She worked for St. Charles Parish Public school system as a cafeteria cook for 25 years.
Visitation was held at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home followed by a mass in the funeral home chapel.
Interment was held in St., Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
