Alex Lee Oxford gained his angel wings on Jan. 22 at the age of 12.
Oxford is the beloved son of Marvin “Gene” Oxford III and Carissa Bowen Oxford; brother of Corey Oxford, Ryan Oxford, Brandon Oxford, Kristie Oxford, Emily Cross, Samantha DeJean, and Jason “Eddie” Fierro (Malia); uncle of Scarlet Oxford and Isabella Fierro; grandson of Phyllis Melancon and the late Marvin Oxford II; Valerie Englade and Douglas Bowen; great-grandson of Anna Dufrene; godson of Terry Gros (Cheryl) and Delia Barker.
The Memorial Mass was held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling on Jan. 30. Visitation was held at the church until service time.
In lieu of flowers donations, can be made to Alex’s Angels at First American Bank and Trust (please see www.fabt.com or call 800-738-2265 for locations and information) to be used for family expenses.
The remainder will be donated to one or evenly distributed to the following organizations: Mimosa Booster Club c/o Claude Adams (via Facebook), Holy Family Church, Fight ALD Foundation c/o Janice Sherwood (via Facebook), or Ochsner Children’s Hospital.
