George Elnathan Herbold, 63 of Destrehan, LA passed away on June 24, 2023. George was born on November 9, 1959 to John Elnathan and Donna Marilyn Herbold.
In 1991 George met Ellen (Ellie) Porche Herbold when he lowered her new motorcycle. For Ellie it was love at first sight. They began dating several years later. George married Ellie, the love of his life, in 2001.
George simply loved life and loved celebrating. He had a wonderful sense of humor, was an avid biker, and loved his animals.
George was preceded in death by his parents, John and Donna, sisters Nancy, Betsy, Donna Jr., one brother Donnie, and nephew Christian. George is survived by his one true love, Ellie Porche Herbold, siblings Becca Kutos (Ray), Laurie Ward, Dan Herbold, Abby Pontiff (Bob), and Edith Eckenberg (Bruce). George was adored by many nieces and nephews: Vinnie (June), Teddy (Joanne), Betsy, Sarah (Bill), Dorian, Holly (Richard), Rachel (Brint), Sarah, Nathan, Hannah (Zach), Cyrus (Kim), Emma (Isaac), Audrey (Cortland), Tori, and Jennifer.
An intimate family memorial was held.
