Registration for Senior Christmas Luncheon opens Nov. 26

The parish will host its annual Senior Christmas Luncheon Thursday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center in Luling. Attendees will receive a festive lunch, a photo with Santa and a poinsettia as a token of appreciation.

Residents attend last year’s Senior Christimas Luncheon. Parish President Matthew Jewell will host the annual St. Charles Parish Senior Christmas Luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, located at 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling.

The event for adults and seniors 55 and up is free, but registration is required. Attendees must show a ticket and photo ID with a St. Charles Parish address at the door.

Tickets are available online starting Wednesday, Nov. 26 at https://SCPSeniorChristmas2025.eventbrite.com. Seniors can register up to one additional person in their household when requesting tickets online.

Francesca Blanchard, a spokesperson for the parish, said last year’s registration opened on Nov. 4 and within about nine days all 550 seats were claimed.

“This year, we changed the registration process so that the link goes live on Nov. 26, allowing people to register for a seat when they see their family members on Thanksgiving, should they need help,” Blanchard said.
