Gatorganza to offer live music, festival-related fun Saturday

The Rotary Club of St. Charles Parish will kick off the 2022 Alligator Festival with a bang when it hosts Gatorganza on Saturday at the Grand Ridge Clubhouse from 7-10 p.m.

Gatorganza is the official kick-off fundraiser for the Alligator Festival. Patrons will have the chance to enjoy live music from the Matherne Brothers, win prizes, vote for the festival’s signature cocktail, taste food samples from 10 vendors, and meet the 2022 poster artist and purchase a signed copy.

“The Rotary Club of St. Charles is excited to bring back our official kickoff fundraiser for the Alligator Festival,” Rotary Public Relations Chair Kelsey Pollock said. “Miss Alligator Festival, Isabella Daspit, has invited festival queens from across the state to celebrate the end of her successful reign and get a glimpse of what the Alligator Festival has to offer.”

Gatorganza tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at alligatorfestival.org/gatorganza or at the door of the event. All proceeds will go towards the St. Charles Rotary Scholarship Foundation.

The Alligator Festival will be held September 22 -25, 2022 at the Westbank Bridge Park. It features live alligators, 10 bands, carnival rides, Cajun cuisine, craft booths, and more.

“The Rotary Club of St. Charles Parish is working hard to bring back the Alligator Festival bigger and better than ever,” Pollock said. “After the effects of the pandemic and Hurricane Ida, we hope that the Alligator Festival will give our community an opportunity to reunite and celebrate.”
