Gun Machine, written by Warren Ellis, is a fast paced thriller, which will leave you on the edge of your seat, clinging to every word.
The setting of the novel is the streets of New York. Detective John Tallow, the main character, is a gritty, relatable loner whose impossible task will most likely be the end of his career.
The fast pace of this book starts in the very first pages of the book where Tallow and his partner chase down a killer into an apartment room. Tallow’s partner goes down before Tallow can take down the gunman. During the fire, a hole was blasted into the apartment wall revealing a hidden room stacked to the roof with different guns. He soon figures out that every one of those guns leads to an unsolved murder in New York City. Tallow assembles a team and takes on the evil of America’s greatest city, New York.
I personally enjoyed Gun Machine because of the constant action throughout. I just could not put it down. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a good action read.
