Parish sees little damage so far

Threat of flooding also decreasing by the hour

Maximum wind speed has steadily increased to 69 mph at the St. Charles Parish Courthouse, but Luling and Hahnville have only experienced superficial damage, while Willowdale/Willowridge is still dry.

Parish Public Information Officer Renee Allemand says that she just returned from checking for damage, and while there are downed trees and powerlines, she reports that she did not see severe residential damage.

There is still a possibility of storm surge flooding later tonight and into tomorrow, but EOC Director Tab Troxler says the chance of that happening is decreasing as time goes on.
