Is my power on?
The parish is 90% without power. We don’t have specific information regarding power. Entergy is doing everything they can to get the power back up, and they may have better information for you. Try 1-800-ENTERGY (368-3749). We will being posting information about what neighborhoods have power on our Web site, Channel 6 and press releases given out by the parish at distribution centers.What stores / business are open?
Right now, we have no confirmed business openings. We’ll put the information out as soon as we can.

What is the status of the parish?
The parish is 90 percent without power. Because we have no power, we have no operating sewerage. Please use your sewer sparingly. We have no businesses open and no food or gas available. Please be self-sufficient if you plan on coming back into the parish.

What is the status of the water supply?
The water in St. Charles Parish is safe to drink.

Are distribution centers going to be open?
A distribution center will be set up at the West Bank Bridge Park tomorrow morning (Thursday 9/4) for commodities. Please do not set up overnight in the park to receive these items. The curfew is still in effect, so Sheriff’s Deputies will require you to move on.

Has FEMA/ Red Cross set anything up yet?
Right now Red Cross and FEMA have nothing in St. Charles Parish. They can be reached at the following numbers: Red Cross: 504-620-3105 and FEMA is: 1-800-621-FEMA

Can we come back?
You can come back at any time now. However, be advised we have 90% power loss in St. Charles, no sewerage, no food and no gas available. If you do decide to return, you must be prepared to be self-sufficient and use your sewerage sparingly.

Is trash going to be picked up?
Coastal Waste will begin regular pick-up on Friday.

Are there dumpsters available?
Dumpsters are available at Willowdale Diversion, Paul Maillard and River Road, Ormond and River Road, St. Mark’s Church on River Road in Ama, Apple Street and River Road in Norco, Charlestowne and River Road in St. Rose, WPA Road and Longview and River Road in Des Allemand at the VFW Hall.

What is the status of the hospital / pharmacies?
The hospital has power and is up and running for clinic visits and emergencies. For more information call 985-785-6242.
