The Ormond Civic Association(OCA) is hosting the Ormond Fall Classic 5K on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 8:30 a.m. at Cypress Lakes Country Club.
Members of the Masters Touch Drumline will perform along the race route and there will be a pool-side after party at Cypress Lakes Country Club. Proceeds from the event will be used to help kids in the community.
“Whether it be residents needing help with parish sports activities that don’t have the resources for their kids or to kids who recently lost their equipment in Isaac like The Masters Touch Drumline,” Race Director Karl Lirette said. “As many know, (The Masters Touch Drumline) have suffered recent losses during Hurricane Issac with their equipment. They will have a raffle for Beats by Dre headphones on race day and the winner will be announced at the post party.”
Registration for the race costs $15 for those aged 15 and under and $25 for those over the age of 15.
