Louisiana High School Athletic Association “sportsmanship essay contest”

PARISHWIDE – Essays for the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) Beyond the Game Program are due on Wednesday, April 30 by 4 p.m.

LHSAA is having its third annual “sportsmanship essay contest.” This is an opportunity for students at all member schools to express in their own words what it means to be a good sportsman.

The contest is open to all students, ages 14 to 18, in grades 9 through 12 at LHSAA member schools. First place will be awarded a prize of $500 and will be recognized at the Annual LHSCA Coaches Clinic banquet in July. The theme of this year’s essay should follow the topic: “What is a Good Sportsman?”
