DESTREHAN – The Ocktoberfest of the German Coast Farmers’ Market will be celebrated every Saturday in October at Ormond Plantation on River Road in Destrehan from 8 a.m. until noon.
As part of the celebration, a “Pass Along” plant exchange will be held on Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. with the exchange at 11 a.m.
Everyone is encouraged to participate by bringing a well-established, healthy specimen in a one-half gallon or larger container.
The botanical or pet name of the plant should be included, along with simple instructions for care.
