Luling’s Tyler and Aaron Bourgeois tee off at Riverland’s Golf and Country Club tournament
Four River Parish youths, and the grandsons of Jimmy Ellis of Luling, hit the green for the Riverlands Golf and Country Club Junior Club Championship match up in the 9 to 11-year-old division. And brothers Aaron and Tyler Bourgeois walked off the course with more than just their clubs.
“Tyler, who’s 11, made a hole in one on the second hole of the match,” Ellis told the Herald-Guide.
“He used his driver to find the bottom of the cup 160 yards awayd,” Ellis continued.
This proud grandfather said that Tyler his a low draw which landed in front and rolled accross the green toward the flag until they lost sight of the ball.
“Two boys who had just finished the hole gave us a hint of the outcome when they showed surprise in their expressions,” Ellis said.
Aaron, 9, won the division with a two-day score of 94 and besting hid brother’s second place finish by two stories.
Aaron and Tyler are the sons of Brent and Lynnette Bourgeois of Luling.
Their cousins Matthew Chauvin and Austin Glidden also participated in the tournament.
