Arrests

  • The following six arrests were made on Aug. 14 in the 100 Blk. of Boutte Estates Drive, Luling. Sheriff Champagne reports that the subjects below were arrested after deputies arrived at the above location due to a fight over a drug transaction. Debra Lumar, arrestee #6, allegedly gave money to Freddie Carter, arrestee #2, in an attempt to purchase crack cocaine, but was never given the cocaine.
  • Kerry Wilkins, 29, of 159 Herman St., Waggaman, was arrested and charged with prohibited acts and false representation in the 100 Blk. of Boutte Estates Dr., Boutte, on Aug. 14.
  • Freddie Carter, 33, of South Kinler St., Boutte, was arrested and charged with prohibited acts and false representation in the 100 Blk. of Boutte Estates Dr., Boutte, on Aug. 14.
  • Zachary Cater, 33, of 410 Thomasville Blvd., Atlanta, Ga., was arrested and charged with prohibited acts and false representation in the 100 Blk. of Boutte Estates Dr., Boutte, La., on Aug. 14.
  • Julius Young, 23, of 52 West Park Ave., Luling, was arrested and charged with prohibited acts and false representation in the 100 Blk. of Boutte Estates Dr., Boutte, on Aug. 14.
  • Jennifer Young, 21, of 702 Paul Frederick St., Luling, was arrested and charged with prohibited acts and false representation in the 100 Blk. of Boutte Estates Dr., Boutte, on Aug. 14.
  • Debra Lumar, of 1832 Paul Mallard Rd., Luling, was arrested and charged with attempted poss. of crack cocaine in the 100 Blk. of Boutte Estates Dr., Boutte, on Aug. 14.
  • Gregory Clay, 39, of 604 Mockingbird Ln., St. Rose, was arrested and charged with poss. of SCH II CDS to wit crack cocaine and a fugitive of Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office at 11734 LA 48, St. Rose, on Aug. 16.  Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was stopped for suspicious person.  Further investigation revealed the subject to be in poss. of crack cocaine.
  • Brandon Kreamer, 27, of 169 Wisner St., Lot C, Paradis, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery at the above address on Aug. 16.  Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested following an altercation with a 25 year-old Paradis man.  During the altercation, the victim was cut on his hand while trying to take a knife away from Kreamer.
  • Donald Ratcliff, 55, of 330 Alexander St., Boutte, was arrested and charged with poss. of crack cocaine in the 200 Blk of Magnolia Ridge, Boutte, on Aug. 15.  Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested after being stopped for suspicious person.  Further investigation revealed the subject to be in poss. of crack cocaine.
  • Brian Sincere, 46, of 3630 Piedmont Dr., New Orleans, was arrested and charged with issuing worthless checks at Nelson Coleman Correctional Center on Aug. 17.  Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested on a warrant issued on June 14, 2002 for the above charge.  In May of 2001 the above subject allegedly issued a check in the amount of $1,366, which was returned NSF.
  • Kendall Marbley, 34, of 210 Third St., St. Rose, was arrested and charged with poss. with intent to dist. crack cocaine, aggravated flight from an officer, reckless operation and littering at I-10 Eastbound on Aug. 18.
  • Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested after fleeing from a field sobriety check point on U.S. 51 in LaPlace.  Marbley fled the checkpoint and was observed throwing several baggies out of his window.  It was determined that it was crack cocaine that he threw out of the vehicle window.
  • Mark Gauthreau, 44, of 42298 N. Wood St., Gonzales, was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree attempted murder and hate crimes in the spillway on Aug. 21.
  • Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested after he allegedly shot at two hispanic men who were fishing in the spillway.  The victims were transported to St. Charles Hospital for treatment for multiple gun shot wounds to their legs.
  • Goerge Keim, 21, of 513 Goodhope St., Norco, was arrested and charged with poss. of Klonapin, poss. of cocaine, SCSO attachment, license plate not illuminated and turning signals required at Barreca St. and Second St.,Norco, on Aug. 21.  Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested after being stopped for a traffic violation.  Further investigation revealed the subject to be in poss. of cocaine and Klonapin.  The subject was also wanted on an attachment for SCSO.
  • Ardecia Lewis, 33, of 124 Michael St., Marrero, was arrested and charged with theft of goods over $500, dist. the peace and a fugitive from Jefferson Parish at 13001 Hwy. 90, Luling, on Aug. 18.  Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested after being observed attempted to steal a desktop computer from Wal-Mart.
  • Brandon Naquin, 18, of 349 Helis Dr., Waggaman, was arrested and charged with poss. of burglary tools and poss. of stolen property at 312 Lakewood Dr., Luling, on Aug. 21.
  • Ryan Hebert, 17, of 33 Imogene St., Waggaman, was arrested and charged with poss. of burglary tools at 312 Lakewood Dr., Luling, on Aug. 21.  Sheriff Champagne reports that the above two subjects were arrested after being observed the above subjects walking down Lakewood Drive in Luling.  Subject appeared to be very nervous.  Upon stopping the subjects, deputies discovered two screwdrivers, a center-punch and a small flashlight in their pockets.  The subjects told officers they were in the neighborhood to steal CD players.  Inside the vehicle, deputies located stolen stereo equipment.
  • Cynthia Dufrene, 40, of 134 Frickey Ln., Des Allemands, was arrested and charged with simple burglary, theft and resisting an officer at the above address on Aug. 18.
  • Craig Dufrene, 47, of 134 Frickey Ln., Des Allemands, was arrested and charged with accessory to simple burglary and resisting an officer at the above address on Aug. 18.  Sheriff Champagne reports the above subjects were arrested after officers attempted to make contact with arrestee #1 in reference to serving a warrant.  Both subjects ignored officers commands to exit the residence.  After a brief period, officers entered the residence and arrested both subjects without further incident.  Arrestee #1’s warrant was issued on July 17, 2006 for simple burglary and theft.  On July 14, the subject allegedly entered a Luling residence without permission and stole a purse.
  • Corey Vinnett, 37, of 604 E. Club Dr., St. Rose, was arrested and charged with poss. of crack cocaine, no seat belt, turn signal required, stop sign and speeding at E. Club and Summerton, St. Rose, on Aug. 19.

DWI

  • Carl Johnson, 36, of 2309 Flower Mound St., Ft. Worth, Tx., was arrested and charged with DWI, reckless operation, driver must be licensed and expired license plate on Hwy. 90, Boutte, La., on Aug. 14.
  • Alvin Anderson, 42, of 1926 Watling Dr., Marrero, was arrested and charged with DWI, careless operation and open container at U.S. 61 Northbound and Riverbend on Aug. 16.
  • Pedro Gaitan, 42, of 334 Vandonberg, Alexandria, was arrested and charged with DWI, failure to yield from private drive and expired DL at US 61 and Almedia Rd., on Aug. 21.
  • Mervin Riley, 49, of 2719 Jefferson Island, New Iberia, was arrested and charged with DWI and careless operation at US 90 and LA 3060 on Aug. 19.

Theft

  • A metal tool box containing assorted tools, valued at $600, was reported stolen out of a vehicle at 242 Destrehan Dr., Destrehan, on Aug. 14.
  • Five crab traps, valued at $110, were reported stolen from 14825 Old Spanish Trail, Paradis, on Aug. 15.
  • A Pit-Bull, valued at $500, was reported stolen from 176 Killona Dr., Killona, on Aug. 15.
  • A recliner, a chair, three air condition units, a 20” tv, and an entertainment center, valued together at $875, were reported stolen from 151 Johnson St., St. Rose. on Aug. 15.
  • Assorted 2×4 wood studs, assorted sheetrock and six solid wood doors, valued at $3250, were reported stolen from 15608 LA 18, Hahnville, on Aug. 15.
  • Assorted tools, valued at $870, was reported stolen from 15244 U.S. 90, Paradis, on Aug. 16.
  • 60 feet of copper wire and a pad lock, valued at $240, was reported stolen from the 400 Blk. of Fourth St., St. Rose, on Aug. 16.
  • Three air conditioners, valued at $4700, was reported stolen from 152 Ponderosa St., St. Rose, on Aug. 16.
  • A generator and a tool box containing assorted tools, valued at $1200, were reported stolen from 203 Maryland Dr., Luling, on Aug. 17.
  • A CD player, a 5 gallon air tank and a custom built center console, valued at $375, was reported stolen from 15909 LA 18, Hahnville, on Aug. 17.
  • An AM/FM/CD player, a radar detector, assorted CD’s in a case and a cell phone car charger, valued together at $695, were reported stolen from 121 Lakewood Dr., Luling, on Aug. 17.
  • A 5.5 HP generator, valued at $1000, was reported stolen from 15711 US 61, Norco, on Aug. 18.
  • A 5” TV/DVD Indash Stereo System, a remote control and five CD’s, valued together at $660, was reported stolen out of a vehicle at 714 St. Rose, St., St. Rose, on Aug. 18.
  • A guitar, valued at $200, was reported stolen from 130 Plantation Rd., New Sarpy, on Aug. 18.
  • A Catalina McCaw Bird, valued at $4000, was reported stolen from 12179 US 90, Luling, on Aug. 18.
  • A Mack tractor trailer truck hood, valued at $450, was reported stolen from Browns Ln., St. Rose, on Aug. 19.
  • A 2003 Ford 350 truck, valued at $14,000, was reported stolen from 296 Paul Mallard Rd., Luling, on Aug. 18.
  • Silver 25 automatic gun, valued at $100, was reported stolen from 205 Wenger Rd., Des Allemands, on Aug. 18.
  • A Bersa Thunder Gold .3-8 Cal Gun, valued at $230, was reported stolen from 137 Hollywood Pk., Montz, on Aug. 20.
