Arrests

• Rondell Batiste, 21, of 515 Paul Fredrick St., Luling, was arrested and charged with poss. of SCH II CDS and turn signal required in the 500 Blk. of Paul Fredrick St., Luling, on Aug. 7. Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested after being stopped for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed the subject to be in poss. of crack cocaine.

• Joseph Lamont, 31, of 124 Peter Ln., St. Rose, was arrested and charged with simple robbery at the above address on Aug. 3.  Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested following an altercation with his mother.  Joseph wanted his mother to give him the keys to her vehicle, which she kept inside her shirt.  When the mother would not give up the keys, Joseph allegedly grabbed her by the arms, pushed her against the wall and took the keys.

• Jarvonde Woods, 19, of 304 Kennedy St., Ama, was arrested and charged with second offense poss. of marijuana at 251 Kennedy St., Ama, on Aug. 9.  Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested after deputies found marijuana in his car.

• Carl Lewis, 25, of 835 E. Macadoo St., New Sarpy, was arrested and charged with animal cruelty at 203 Park Ave., New Sarpy, on Aug. 10.  Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested on July 26 for the above charge.

• Joshua D. Stewart, 22,  of 350 Debuys Rd. Apt. 85, Biloxi, MS was arrested and charged with poss. with intent to distribute marijuana, poss. with intent to distribute methadone, poss. with intent to distribute hydrocodone, poss. of drug parapheranalia, speeding and driving under suspension on Aug. 13.

• Whitney G. Gautreaux, 32, of 21 Chuckwagon Ln., St. Rose, was arrested and charged with SCHIII poss. of a CDS with intent to dist. hydrocodone, SCH IV poss. of a CDS with intent to dist. Diazepam (2cts.), SCH IV poss. of a CDS with intent to dist. Alprazolam, expired MVI and fugutive probaton and parole on Aug. 13.

• Paul A. Stewart, 18, of 675 Killona Dr., Killona, was arrested and charged on Aug. 12 with illegal use of a weapon (accessory).

• Darville Washington, 17, of 680 Killona Dr., Killona, was arested and charged with illegal use of a weapon (accessory).

Theft

• A yellow electrical wire, valued at $500, was reported stolen from 140 Westover Ln., Montz, on Aug. 8.

• A 1997 GMC truck, valued at $4,000, was reported stolen from 200 Ormond Village Dr., Destrehan on Aug. 9.

• A cell phone, an undetermined value, was reported stolen from 12519 U.S. 61, Destrehan, on Aug. 9.

• A dirt bike, valued at $1000, was reported stolen from 360 Rosedale Dr., Destrehan, on Aug. 10.

• A stereo, an undetermined value, was reported stolen from 406 Almedia Rd., St. Rose, on Aug. 10.

•  A computer with accessories, valued at $1500, was reported stolen from 119 Candies Ln., Des Allemands, on Aug. 13.

• Assorted tools, valued at $375, was reported stolen out of a vehicle at 370 Carolyn Dr., Destrehan, on Aug. 13.

• A Pioneer stereo, a purse and two pool sticks, valued at $345, were stolen out of a vehicle at 13755 LA 18, Luling, on Aug. 13.

•A mountain bike, valued at $700, was reported stolen from 234 Mimosa Ave., Luling, on Aug. 12.

•A Chocksaw, two air compressors and an aluminum coil trimming, valued at $1300, was reported stolen from 308 Lac Verrett, Luling, on Aug. 11.

• Two Game Boys, 3 Game Boy games and assorted food, valued at $245, was reported stolen from 827 Milling Ave., Luling, on Aug. 11.

DWI

• David Dahl, 40, of 509 Dell St., St. Rose, was arrested and charged with DWI, disregard a stop sign, driving with a suspended DL and a fugitive from Gretnaa LA 48 and Bonura Dr., on Aug. 11.

• Bayardo Herrera, 30, of 201 S. Aleander St., New Orleans, was arrested and charged with DWI, driving without lawful presence in the United States and no DL at the 11000 blk. of LA 18, Ama on Aug. 13.

• Jody Hebert, 36, of 517 Rienze Dr., LaPlace, was arrested and charged with DWI, reckless operation, speeding, poss. with intent to dist. SCH II to wit cocaine at Hwy. 61, St. Rose, on Aug. 12.

• Samuel Plaisance, 36, of 3367 Cedar Crest, Baton Rouge, was arrested and charged with DWI and child endangerment on LA3127 Southbound on Aug. 13.
