Arrests

  • Arthur Blue, 63, of 12 Shadow Lane in Destrehan, was arrested Jan. 25 and charged with DWI and reckless operation.
  • Barry Fahrig, 38, of 124 South St. in Paradis, was arrested Jan. 23 and charged with two counts of burglary of a movable and simple criminal damage.
  • Freddie Bibey, 47, of 10 Horse Shoe Ln. in St. Rose, was arrested Jan. 24 and charged with second degree battery.
  • Brian Lee Morehouse, 26, of 107 Churchhill Downs in Montz, was arrested Jan. 24 and charged with theft of copper and metals of $1,000 or more.
  • Felix Polkey, 17, of 13575 LA Hwy. 631 in Boutte, was arrested Jan. 24 and charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
  • David Barre, 30, of 422 Maple Loop in LaPlace, was arrested Jan. 22 and charged with DWI and failure to maintain proper control of vehicle.
  • Gary Norman, 56, of 177 John Rd. in Hahnville, was arrested Jan. 23 and charged with DWI, operating under prior suspension and refusal of DWI test.
  • Larry Seymore, 73, of 201 Place Dubourg in LaPlace, was arrested Jan. 23 and charged with DWI, speeding, vehicle headlamp requirement, open container and liability security requirement. He was a fugitive.
  • John Sellars, 51, of 191 Ayo St. in Raceland, was arrested Jan. 22 and charged with DWI, failure to utilize traffic control signal, driving without license, possession of hydrocodone, possession of SCH IV, open container and two counts of possession of contraband in correctional center.
  • Garrett Burkhalter, 24, of 1042 Airline Hwy. in LaPlace, was arrested Jan. 24 and charged with DWI, reckless operation, open container, suspended license and needing renewal of registration.
  • Joe White, 28, of 3574 Byron Ave. in Baton Rouge, was arrested Jan. 29 and charged with DWI, suspended driver’s license, license plate illuminated, failure to dim, distribution of marijuana, possession of Oxycodone and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was a fugitive.

Thefts

  • A window A/C unit was stolen from 390 Cedar St. on Jan. 22.
  • Assorted jewelry, U.S. currency and a pillowcase were stolen from 308 Oak Ln. in Luling on Jan. 22.
  • A gun safe containing a 20 gauge shotgun, a 22 caliber semi-automatic rifle, a bolt action 270 caliber rifle, assorted ammunition, U.S. currency and a 9 MM stainless pistol were stolen from 452 Barber Rd. in Paradis on Jan. 25.
  • A tactical gun case, a .45 caliber Springfield, a Remington 870 express and an AR-15 were stolen from 131 W. B Street in Norco on Jan. 27.
