Woman reports Spillway rape
A 33-year-old Jefferson Parish woman stated that a white male entered her vehicle in Metairie, punching her in the back of the head and forcing her to drive to the Bonnet Carre Spillway. The man then allegedly raped the woman twice before driving away in her vehicle. This incident is still under investigation. Anyone having any information is asked to contact Detective Pertuis at 985-783-1135.

Mysterious van reported near pair of schools
Last Friday, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office received 911 calls from teachers at both Norco Elementary and Sacred Heart School about a white male video-taping children at recess from a gold colored mini-van.
“From time to time, we get reports like this,” Champagne said. “There is no proof that these people were up to no good. We are watching the area close just in case to see if we can find the vehicle.”
Upon receiving the calls on Friday, Champagne said deputies responded quickly to the area but were unable to locate a vehicle fitting this description. Authorities then alerted other schools and school officials in the area.
At no time did the man get out of the van, nor did he approach anyone.
