Arrests

  • Tyrone Pablo, 27, of 286 Meadows Drive in Destrehan, was arrested Sept. 27 and charged with expired driver’s license, no seatbelt and felony carrying of an illegal weapon.
  • Joshua Jones, 36, of 102 Maria St. in Luling, was arrested Sept. 27 and charged with possession of Schedule II.
  • Penny Mizell, 46, of 259 Carolyn Drive in Destrehan, was arrested Sept. 27 and charged with DWI (first offense), failure to maintain proper control of vehicle, no insurance, possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV and possession of Schedule IV.
  • Darryl Washington, 27, of 4907 Laine Ave. in New Orleans, was arrested Sept. 26 and charged with possession of marijuana (first offense), possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of Schedule II, obstruction of justice and use of a firearm with CDS.
  • Annisha Johnson, 21, of 4123 Maple Leaf in New Orleans, was arrested Sept. 26 and charged with speeding, possession of marijuana (first offense), possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of Schedule II, obstruction of justice and use of a firearm with a CDS.Incidents
  • A 26” 10 speed “Shooker” mountain bike was stolen from behind an apartment located on Lakewood Drive in Luling on Sept. 23.
  • A black colored Chevrolet Suburban was taken from a private parking lot on Marine Centre Lane in Taft on Sept. 23.
  • A black male subject shoplifted two cartons of Kool 100’s cigarettes, a carton of Kool Filter Kings cigarettes and a Bud Light Straw-Ber-Rita drink from a Shell Corner Market on Airline Hwy. in Destrehan on Sept. 24.
  • Twenty gallons of fuel was stolen from a boat located on Elmwood Drive in Destrehan on Sept. 25. Five gallons of fuel from a portable container, 2.5 gallons of fuel from another portable container and fuel from the gas tank of his ATV were also stolen.
  • A tailgate from a 2014 Ford F-150 was stolen from a victim’s vehicle parked at a residence on Collier Drive in Luling on Sept. 25.
  • A residence on Lac Iberville Drive in Luling was entered through a bedroom window by a suspect, who then attempted to steal a motorcycle from the residence garage. The owner returned home, possibly scaring the suspect off. The motorcycle was recovered but the helmet and motorcycle key were not. The incident took place Sept. 25.
  • A gray-colored diamond utility trailer valued at $6,000 containing a 10’ by 20’ tent was stolen on River Road in Hahnville on Sept. 25.
  • A vehicle parked on Ashton Drive in Luling was burglarized and a Garmin GPS, approximately $80 in cash and a purse was stolen on Sept. 24.
  • Halloween decorations and a mailbox were damaged in the front yard of a victim’s residence located on Devereaux Drive in Destrehan on Sept. 23. The damages totaled over $600.
  • A victim’s air conditioner was missing from the window of a residence located on Post St. in Killona on Sept. 27. A flat screen television, jewelry, clothing and approximately $700 were stolen.
  • A victim was contacted by a man claiming to be a representative of the IRS. The caller stated the victim owed approximately $2,990 and would need to obtain iTunes cards totaling $3,000 to pay the owed sum. The victim paid $2,500 before realizing he was being scammed. The incident was reported Sept. 26.
  • A door to a building under construction had been pried open Sept. 26. The building was located on River Road in Hahnville. It was determined the suspect made entry to the building, but nothing appeared to be out of place.
  • A business located on Hwy. 90 in Boutte was burglarized and three archery bows taken Sept. 29.
  • Someone spray painted graffiti on a basketball court located on Boutte Estates Drive in Boutte on Sept. 29.
