Sylvia “Pal” Perret Champagne, 87, a native of Edgard and a resident of Luling, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 12, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Paradis, LA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday. Burial will be at a later date.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Champagne Jr. (Penny); daughter, Patti Laque (Albert “Bert” Jr.); sisters, Myrna Schexnayder and Frances McDonald; brothers, Michel Perret, Jr., Elliot Perret and Camille Perret; grandchildren, Johnny “Jake” Champagne III (Heather), Grant Champagne (Erin), Amanda Laque Burke (Ryan), Kristen Laque Picard (Mikey), Jared Laque and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Champagne, Sr.; parents, Michel Perret Sr. and Marie Perret; brother, Wade Perret.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved sitting on the porch enjoying the sun and nature. She was a true dog lover and always had one around her.
