Curtis Eugene Scott Jr., a native of Baton Rouge LA, and a resident of Paradis, LA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 30. Curtis was the loving husband of Pennie Estay Scott, and the father of Brandon, (Angelle) and Cody (Paige). He was the grandfather of Landon, Levi, Desi, Gabrielle, Carlyn, Kaylyn and Peyton.
He was a veteran of the Coast Guard and a hard-working longtime contractor at many plants and refineries in St. Charles Parish. Mr. Scott was the brother of Michael, (Kathy), Lorri, (Joey), Susan, (Robert), and Steven, (Cynthia).
Curtis loved cooking and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and hosting crawfish boils and barbecues at his home. Curtis loved LSU sports and proudly wore the purple and gold. He also was a die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan and loved teasing his grandsons about it.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Alford Simpson, father, Curtis E. Scott Sr., stepmother Maudie Belle Scott, and sister, Candy Scott Vega.
Funeral services were scheduled for Friday, June 4, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis, LA. Visitation was from 9-11 AM with a Mass at 11 AM. Burial was immediately following the services at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Des Allemands, LA.
