Grace G. Brown on Thurs., Sept. 21, 2006 at East Jefferson Hospital in Metairie. Daughter of the late Norward Gerard and Zelma Neal. Step daughter of Racheal Gerard. Wife of the late Minister Oliver Brown. Mother of Troy, Cornell and Marlon Brown, Gwentina Ingram and Treaneice Kenner. Sister of Shirley Harris, Warren and Charles Neal, Beverly Mosley, Benjamin and Thomas Nelson and the late Gwendolyn Lewis. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 67 years. A native of Killona and a resident of Hahnville. Relative and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of The Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church and all neighboring churches were invited to attend the funeral service at The Historical Bethlehem Baptist Church, 14989 River Road in Hahnville on Sat., Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. Rev. Daughter of the late Clebert and Irene Bergeron Adams. Sister of Ernest Adams, Una Mae Arceneaux and the late Clemile, Irvin, Clifford, Leroy Adams, Selina Fournier, Julia Adams, Lucilee Foshee, Ledora Grabert and Leola Ferguson. A native of Raceland and a resident of Des Allemands. Age 84 years. Relative and friends of the family were invivted to attend the funeral. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tues., Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands. Private burial at a later date. Champagne, Georgiana F. Waguespack, Valerie F. Babin, Virginia C. Fortmayer and Genevieve C. Dufrene. Also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A native and resident of Raceland. Age 70 years. He was active in the St. Charles Recreation District, treasurer of the Raceland Lions Club, member Grand Marshall Club and retirerd from teh Raceland Volunteer Fire Department. (Alfred) Collins, JOel Lynne HOward, the late Floyd E. Howard, Jr., Gilbert and Lloyd E. Howard. Brother in law of Mildred L. and Vicie S. Howard. Also, survived by devoted friend, Vanessa Jones, 12 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 49 years. A native and resident of New Sarpy. A private service was held at Robottom Mortuary, 850 Highway 44 in Reserve on Fri., Sept. 22, 2006.

Daughter of the late Camille and Corinne Dufrene Comardelle. Sister of Earl Comardelle and the late Roger, Evi, Clifton and Mae Comardelle. Also survived by four grandchildren. A native and resident of Des Allemands. Age 70 years. She was a retired nurse from St. Charles Parish Hospital. Relative and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Whitney (Slim, Whit) Joseph Naquin of Des Allemands, age 84, on Sun., Sept. 24, 2006 at 2:20 a.m. Native of Pointe-Aux-Chenes. Son of Caliste and Louise Agglia Dufrene Naquin. Nephew of Norman, Randolph and Nollie Naguin, and Naise Dufrene and Inez Naguin. Husband of Myrtle Dufrene Naquin. Father of Stanford and wife Cynthia Naquin, Stephanie and husband Steve Morgan, and Jody and husband Alan Orgeron. Brother of Wilburt (Brud) Naquin, Earline and Rita Schaubhut, and Joyce McBroom. Survived by eight grandchildren and four grandchildren. Parishoner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands and WWII Army veteran. Past commander of the American Legion Post 316, Member of Knights of Columbus in Luling, VFW Post 3750, Past member for Des Allemands Fire Department and was crowned the 1994 King for the Des Allemands Mardi Gras Parade. A pillar of the community who was quite the handyman. Greatly loved and will be sorrowfully missed. Visitation was held on Tue., Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to Noon at St. Gertrude, followed by a religious service that started at Noon.

Beulah Coleman Smith, passed away Mon., Sept. 18, 2006 in Shreveport. Age 70 years. A native of New Orleans. Wife of the late Walter Smith, Sr. Daughter of the late Corine and Ernest Coleman, Sr. Beloved mother of Walter Smith Jr., Denise Coleman, Wanda Garnier and the late Carl Coleman Jr., Geneva (George) Robertson, Inez Carter, Lois Watson, the late Stella Harris and Earl Coleman. Mother-in-law of the late Connie Coleman. Daughter-in-law of Hazel Tate. Also, survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Relatives, friends, officers and members of The Branch Bell B.C., The Asia B.C. and all neighboring churches were invited to attend funeral services at The Asia B.C., 1400 Sere St. in New Orleans on Sat., Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. Pastor Kenneth Thibodeaux, Rev. Warren Cooper Officiant. Visitation from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Interment was at Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery in Boutte.
