Gaston “Ponnie” Joseph Ayme Jr. on Friday, Nov. 3 at 12:45 p.m. in Jefferson. A U.S. Navy veteran.
Husband of Helen Duhe Ayme. Son of the late Gaston Ayme Sr. and Adele Bergeron Ayme. Father of Grant Ayme, Mollie Ayme Chapman, Emric Ayme, Thecia Ayme Marble, Tyler Ayme, Nathan Ayme and Mahlon Ayme. Brother of Bryon Ayme, the late Gloria Ayme Mouton and Lloyd “Tate” Ayme. Grandfather of the late Jason Ayme. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Age 79. A native of Good Hope and resident of Norco. Mass of christian burial was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Chruch in Norco. Interment in St. Charles Mausoleum in Destrehan. Visitation at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco from 6 p.m. until 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6 and from 9:30 p.m. until 10:45 a.m. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco was in charge of arrangements.

DALLON

Joseph “Sun-B-O” Dallon Sr. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2006 at his residence in Killona. Son of the late Juliette and Albert Dallon.

Husband of the late Gladys Dallon. Father of Joseph Dallon Jr. (Sue), Hazel and Deborah Dallon. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Age 96 years. A native and resident of Killona. Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members of Children of Israel, The Historic Bethlehem and Canaan Baptist Churches and all neighboring churches were invited to attetnd the funeral service at Children of Isreal Baptist Church, 263 Killona Dr., Killona on Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. Rev. Dennis Austin, Pastor, officiating. Interment Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft. Visitation at the above named church from 9 a.m. until service time. Serviced by Robottom.

DONNAUD

Andy James Donnaud on Nov. 6, 2006 at Forest Green Hospital in Hattisburg. MS. Son of Allen Joseph Donnaud Sr. and Edith Boudreaux Donnaud.

Native of Luling. Age 50. Survived by his wife, Holly Donnaud; four sons, Joshua, Micheal, William and Matthew; one daughter, Elisa; two brothers, Allen Donnaud and wife Katherine of Atlanta, GA, Gary Donnaud of Luling; one sister, Darlene Tonjes and Husband Mark of Atlanta, GA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends – including his best friend Jerry Scoggins Sr. Andy was a member of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Luling. He enjoyed fishing and he was a navid football fan. He was known for helping out anyone in need. Most of all, he was known for his unique sense of humor. Visitation was held on Wednesday, Nov. 8 and Thursday, Nov. 9 2006 at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb, MS. Paul Donnaud officiating. Service was held on Thursday, Nov. 9 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Hartman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at Pike Memorial Gardens in McComb. Hartman Funeral Home of McComb was in charge of arrangements.

HEURTIN

Kay Duhe Heurtin, on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006 at 3:45 p.m. in Norco. Wife of Floyd Joseph Heurtin Sr. of Norco. Daughter of the late Eddie E. Duhe Sr. and Helen Faucheaux Duhe.

Mother and mother-in-law of Penny and Timothy Blank of St. Amant; Lisa Ramos of Norco; Floyd Jr. and Geren Heurtin of Baton Rouge, Steve Heurtin of Amite; Mitchell and Maureen Heurtin; Montz Heurtin and the late Timothy Heurtin. Sister of Margaret Laurent, Carol Dufresne, Linda Duhe, Eddie Duhe, Jr. and Tommy Duhe, all of Norco and James Duhe of La Place. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Age 70, a native and resident of Norco. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at noon on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan. Interment in church mausoleum. Visitation was at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco from on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lena Fredella Matis, on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at her residence in Hahnville. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Raymon Matis. Mother of Joseph and vance Matis.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria Salvato Fredella. Sister of the late Joseph Fredalla. Also survived by eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Preceeded in death by one grandchild. A native of La Place and resident of Hahnville. Age 73. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A mass of christian burial was be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Rosary Cemetery in Taft. Visitation was from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday, Nov. 8 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.

SCHEXNAYDER

Septime I. Schexnayder on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 in Metairie. A U.S. Airforce veteran. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Torres Schexnayder.

Son of the late John Fergus Schexnayder and Josephine Ory Schexnayder. Father of Mary Clare Schexnayder, Paul G. Schexnayder and wife Melanie Vicknair Schexnayder and Brad J. Schexnayder and wife Lisa Ditta Schexnayder. Grandfather of Brennan Paul Schexnayder and Danielle Elizabeth Schexnayder. Brother of Gilbert Schexnayder, Sr., Bernice Hebert, the late Thelma S. Roussel and the late Lawrence Schexnayder. Age 74. A native and resident of New Sarpy. Mass of Christian Burial was at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, LA. Interment was in St. Charles Mausoleum, Destrehan. Family, friends and also employees and retirees of Shell Oil Corp. were invited to attend Visitation at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco from 11:30 to 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Norco was in charge of arrangements.

JOHNSON

Services for Leon Anthony Johnson were held at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006 in the chapel of John Kramer & Son with Father Bruce Miller officiating.

Interment was in Alexandria Memorial Gardens in Alexandria under the direction of John Kramer & Son. Mr. Johnson, 80, was born in Lecompte, LA, formerly of Cheneyville, LA and resided in Luling since 1957. He died at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans on Nov. 9. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Luling, a member of the American Legion and a retiree of E.I. DuPont in Reserve. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelly J. Breaux and is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wilma B. Johnson of Luling; one son, John J. Johnson of Allen, Texas; two daughters, Karen J. Donnaud (Gerald J.) of Luling and Barbara J. Wood (Richard L.) of Alabaster, Ala.; one brother, Joseph G. Johnson (Irma Z.) of Luling; seven grandchildren, Sherri B. Dufrene, Dawn B. Bourgeois, Danielle D. Clause, Wesley G. Donnaud, Drew R. Wood, Todd L. Wood, James T. Wood; three great-grandchildren, Curt A. Barousse, Jr. Lauren K. Dufrene and Carly R. Clause.
