Hackman

Mabel Wenger Hackman, on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 8:30 a.m. in Raceland. Beloved wife of the late Lester Moyer Hackman, Sr. Father of Gordon L. Hackman and his wife Marion, Robert D. Hackman and his wife Kathy, Lester M. Hackman, Jr. and his wife Ruby, Polly Duhe and her husband Lenny and Frances Wod and her husband Rob. Daughter of the late Chester and Salome Christophel Wenger. Sister of the late Rev. John C. Wenger, William Wenger and Estelle Callender. Also, survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A native of Middlebury, IN and a resident of Des Allemands since 1936. Age 93 years. She will be remembered by the outpouring of her love within the structure of the Des Allemands Mennonite Church and as she ministered to the community through her nursing skills. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Religious services from Des Allemands Mennonite Church on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. Interment Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1 and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday, Oct. 2 at the Des Allemands Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers donation to Des Allemands Mennonite Church preferred. Falgout Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Louviere

Dallas Joseph Louviere Sr., 72, a native and resident of Paradis, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland. He is survived by his mother, Louise Louviere; two stepsons, Larry Breaux Jr. and Kurt Breaux; three daughters, Julie Simoneaux, Tina Hotard Richardson and Tes Waguespack; two stepdaughters, Angela Dufrene and Ginger Gisclair; one sister, Arizona Adams; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, JoElla Pitts Louviere; his father, Walter Louviere; one son, Dallas Louviere Jr.; and one brother, Gerald Rodrigue. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Minguez

Nova Madere Miguez (Age 89) died Sept. 25 at Community Medical Center at Calico Rock, AR. She was resident of Mt. View, AR for two years. Here she had very good friends. She was born Dec. 29, 1917 to William and Amelie Oubre Madere. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. Miguez, Sr., two brothers, Wilton Madere and Antoine Sidney Madere, one sister, Corinne M. Bryan. She is survived by one sister, Odette Madere. Other survivors include her only child, Harold Miguez, Jr., his wife, Iris Heurtin, four grandchildren, Tarar M. Sicomo (Nicolas) of Slidell, Duane Minguez (Sandra of Bayou Gauche; Deidre Wildmon (Jerell) of Mt. View, AR; and Brad Miguez (Diane) of Bayou Gauche. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, Hannah and Collin Hutchinson, MOnica and Nichole Sicomo, Tanner and Cade Miguez, Breanna, Kayla and Paige Wildmon and Chase Miguez. Nova was a RN Nurse at Charity Hospital and retired with 40 years of service. She was also a member of the C.R.I.B for many years. Services will be Friday, Sept. 28 at Our Lady of Holy Rosary in Hahnville from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., officiated by Father Bernard Francis. Burial in St. John Cemetery in Edgard, LA. Arrangements by Eddir’s Family Funeral Home of Calico Rock, AR and Alexander Funeral Homes, Lutcher and Norco.
