Myron Jude Cantrelle, 61, a native of Hahnville, LA and a resident of Luling, LA, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jill Zeringue Cantrelle; daughters, Amanda Verdin (Thomas) and Myranda Cantrelle; grandchildren, Kota, Levi, Cruz, and Tomi; mother, Leah Gaubert Cantrelle; brothers, Carl Cantrelle Jr. (Tammy) and Kerry Cantrelle (Cathy); sister, Jennifer Gregory (Shawn); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl “Jordan” Cantrelle.
Myron spent many years protecting and serving in a variety of ways – through volunteering with the Red Cross, as a volunteer firefighter, an EMT, and a deputy of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association where he served as Chaplin for several years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing the drums, painting, fishing, hunting, and building and flying model airplanes. He was also an avid football fan. He loved his family dearly and his grandchildren were the light of his life.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and continue on Friday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery.
