Kenneth J. Hogan, 79, a native of Bayou Gauche, LA and a resident of Gray, LA, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA and from 9:00 am until 11:00 am November 17, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Paradis, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA.
He is survived by his companion, Betty Authement; daughters, Rhonda Hogan Boudreaux (Elray), Michelle Hogan Tate; son, Michael Hogan (Heather); grandchildren, Derek Cantrelle (Chelsi), Dustin Cantrelle, Christopher Tate (fiancé, Carley), Taylor Maise (Conner), Jourdyn Hogan (fiancé, Lee); step grandchildren, Dylan Burch, Brody Authement, Leland Authement, Ahri Authement, Taylor Boudreaux and Joshua Boudreaux; great grandchildren, Sloane Cantrelle and Hank Cantrelle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Melancon Hogan; son-in-law, Stephan Tate; parents, Andrew and Eunice Matherne Hogan; sister, Louella Deroche and brother, Bobby Hogan.
Kenneth enjoyed going to his camp, fishing, dancing, making trawl nets and fly tying. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
