Bessie Mae Kraemer, age 102, of Marrero, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023.
Beloved wife of the late Wilbert J. Kraemer. She was preceded in death by her daughter Virginia Lee K. Badeaux. A loving mother of Wilbert L. “Sonny” Kraemer and wife, Gladys Kraemer, daughter Louise Nugent, the late Gleason Nugent. Beloved mother-in-law of the late James Badeaux Sr. (Elaine). Loving grandmother of Scott Nugent (Angel), Jamie Bolotte (Clint), Brandi Morgan (Chris) and the late James Badeaux Jr. Loving great-grandmother of Kaylyn, Dalton, Tayson, Avery, Valerie and Abby. Beloved great-great grandmother of Averly Grace
Bessie was the daughter of the late Leon Adam and Grace Hock Adam. Sister of the late Lee Adam and Leona Hoskins. She was born in Grand Isle, resided in Crown Point for twenty years, then made her home in Marrero for 80+ years. Bessie was a member of the Belle Terre Golden Age Club for many years where she was awarded many medals for sports participation through the Greater New Orleans and Regional Senior Olympic games. Bessie was also a member of the Ladies Altar Society for Visitation of Our Lady Parish Church.
A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:30AM on December 8, 2023 and continue until 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
