Murphy J. Cortez, 92, a native of Des Allemands and a resident of Paradis, passed away on June 5, 2018.
He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Benoit, Susie Candies (Calvin), Melinda Fahrig (Robert), Linda Ayo and Rachel Molinere (Terry); 17 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mittie Stevens Cortez; parents, Albert and Malvina Cortez; a grandchild and two great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated followed by burial in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.
Falgout Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
