Mona Troxler Gassen

Mona Troxler Gassen entered into eternal rest on January 5, 2023. Beloved wife of the late William “Billy” Gassen. Daughter of the late Consuelo Keller Troxler and Oliver J. Troxler. Mother of William “Bill” Gassen, Jr. (Patti), Arlene Oubre (Horace), Gwyneth Duhe (Gene), Rhea Vial (Timmy), Brett Gassen and Blake Gassen (Annette). Grandmother of Chad Petit (Lauren), Shaw Gassen, Blake Amelie Walther (Tyler), Jackson Gassen, Brody Vial (fiancée Julie), Bria Schilling (Zach) and Brenna Miguez (Tanner). Great-grandmother of Amelia and Elijah Petit and James “Jamie” Walther. Sister of Shirley “Nannie” Barre and the late Oliver “Bunny” Troxler, Jr., Elaine Foret, Vance Troxler and Joyce Kelly.
She was born on March 11, 1929, and was a lifelong resident of Hahnville and parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was awarded the Order of St. Louis Medallion. She was a long-time member of the Holy Family Busy Bees and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, volunteering for many years at St. Charles Parish Hospital and Luling Living Center. The family would like to thank the staff at Luling Living Center and Pontchartrain Health Care Center for their excellent care.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Visitation at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville, LA. Burial to follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft, LA.
