Thomas Henry McMurry passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007 at 5:20am in Jefferson, LA.
Husband of Joyce Strate McMurry. Son of the late Thomas D. McMurry and Marguerite Perret McMurry. Father of Mark McMurry and wife Bonnie of LaPlace, Timothy McMurry and wife Rae’ of LaPlace, Cindy Kragle and husband Charlie of LaPlace, and Kristie Stapler and husband Cameron of Geismar, LA. Brother of Eula ‘Nannie’ McMurry, Courtney McMurry, and the late Lois McMurry Kaiser. Grandfather of Kristen Barre’, Brittany McMurry, Cody McMurry, Katelyn Stapler, Cole Stapler, Garrett McMurry and Brandon Kragle. Brother-in-law of Lester Strate, Milton Strate, and the late Brian Kaiser. Also survived by numerous neices, nephews and cousins.
Retired from Shell Oil Co. with 38 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Age 79. A native and resident of Norco. Mass of Christian Burial was at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco, LA. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan, LA. Visitation was at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco, LA from 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2007. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco in charge of arrangements.
