Al Mayeux

Al Mayeux, 66, of Roxie, Miss. passed away Wednesday, June 5 in Natchez, Miss.

Al was born in Bunkie to Emanuel and Louise Mayeux on Oct. 2, 1946. Al was a long time resident of Hahnville. He is a retiree of Shell/Motiva in Norco where he was employed for 26 years. He was an active member of West St. Charles Baptist Church in Boutte during his residence in Hahnville. He also served as Deacon since 2004 in Mississippi, most recently at Roxie Baptist Church in Roxie, Miss.

Al is preceded in death by his father, Emanuel and brother, Michael. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol LaBorde Mayeux; mother, Louise Ortego Mayeux; brother, Tommy Mayeux and his wife Sherrie Johnson Mayeux; son Lonny Mayeux and his wife Denise Melancon Mayeux; daughter Angela Mayeux Durapau and her husband Martin Durapau; son Alan Troy Mayeux and his wife Leslie Meneley Mayeux; daughter Holly Mayeux; grandchildren Jeremy Mayeux, Ethan Mayeux, Chelsey Durapau, Devin Durapau, Heather Durapau, Hannah Durapau, Rachael Durapau, Tyler Mayeux, Sara Mayeux, Hayden Mayeux, Brooke McNeely, Miranda McNeely; great-grandchildren Ava Jolie Mayeux and Jayden Elisabeth Mayeux.

Funeral services took place at West St. Charles Baptist Church in Boutte on Saturday, June 8 when visitation was also held. Funeral services followed and burial was at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in St. Rose.

  1. June 5th. Makes 5 years you passed away from this earth for Heaven, what a marvelous life you live now alone with other family members that has also passed. I’m still here missing you, you never passed away from my heart, it seem like yesterday to me. Time does not heal, only God heals a broken heart. I love you still.
