Edna Dufrene Matherne, 90, a native of Bois Choctaw, on the banks of Bayou Des Allemands, and a resident of Des Allemands passed away on Nov. 28.
Graveside services were held Nov. 29 at Sunset Cemetery, Bayou Gauche.
Matherne is survived by her sons, Ray Matherne and wife Elsa, Michael Matherne; daughters, Annabel Hogan and husband Donald, Mary Dufrene and husband Dale; brothers, Hemes and Wilbur Dufrene, sister, Levia Meyer; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Matherne; parents, Victor Dufrene and Leonise Comardelle Dufrene Matherne and step-father Samson Matherne.
