Katheryn Bland Jacobs, 86, a native of Port Arthur, Texas, and resident of Paradis passed away on Nov. 24.
Visitation was held Dec. 1 at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. A funeral service immediately followed in the funeral home parlor with burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.
Jacobs is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Schmill, Donna Troxler, and Carolyn Brumley; sons, Randy and Larry Jacobs and Kenneth Matthijetz; brother, Homer Bland; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil C. Jacobs Sr.; son, Cecil Jacobs Jr.; daughter, Rhonda Jacobs; parents, Roger and Cora Berwick Bland; brothers, Ray, Carl, Edward, Freddie, and Claude Bland; sisters, Geraldine Peyton and Irene Long; and two great-grandchildren.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
