Christopher Joseph Linder, 33, passed away on April 26, 2017. He grew up in Bayou Gauche with his older brothers, Matthew and Mikie.
A favorite gathering place for neighboring children was the sand pit located in Chris’ backyard. He could spend all day grocery shopping, prepping food and cooking. Cooking was his passion. He also enjoyed spending time with his brothers and extended family.
As an adult, Christopher worked as an offshore production operator. His final day was spent with friends fishing and eating his catch.
Although he had challenges in this life, he possessed a kind heart.
With Chris’ passing we are reminded that life is a precious gift from God to be cherished. He will forever remain in our hearts.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11a.m. on Thursday, May 4, at Life Fellowship Community Church in Bayou Gauche. A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m.
He is survived by his parents, John Matthew Linder Sr. (Matt) and Terry Marchese Linder; brothers, John Matthew Linder II, and Michael Steven Linder; his maternal grandparents, Joseph Marchese Sr. and Rosemary Pitre Marchese; his nephews, step-niece and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John E. Linder and Betty Risinger Linder.
