Jerry Paul “Yogi” Dempster, 74, a native and resident of Des Allemands passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dianna R. Dempster; daughters, Debbie (Justilien Jr.) Cortez and Roxann (Delton “Del”) Doucet; grandchildren, Justin Cortez, Amber Cortez, Dillon Cortez, Hope Cortez, Ashley Doucet and Katie Doucet; sisters, Azalie Guillot and Una Vanacor.He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustave and Celina Folse; numerous brothers, sisters, half-brothers and half-sisters.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired after 20 years of service with Des Allemands Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
