On Monday, August 23, 2021 the Lord called home another sweet Angel, Lillian Dufrene Savoie, at the age of 93.
Born on July 26, 1928 to Johnny Dufrene and Odile Martinez Dufrene. She is survived by one son, Richard Savoie (Celeste); four grandchildren, Regina Guillot (Harry), Ramona Rodrigue (Reggie) Christopher Savoie (Jennifer) and Mandy Savoie; three great grandchildren, Kimberly Benoit, Savanna Gaudet, Amber Caillouet and one great-great grandchild, Grace Benoit; one sister, Vivian Dufrene and two sisters-in-law, Doris Dufrene and Dorothy Breaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Oscar Savoie; one son, Tildon Savoie, and daughter Rosalie Rodrigue and eight brothers, Dewey Dufrene, Frank Dufrene, Dudley Dufrene, Wallace Dufrene, Aaron Dufrene, Noris Dufrene, Noah Dufrene and Clamile Dufrene.
She was born and lived in Bayou Gauche all her life. She was a Faithful and founding member of the Bayou Gauche Assembly of God Church. She loved to sew, crochet, cook, bake, can vegetables and fruits, and most of all work side by side with her husband in whatever the task was. A Loving, Praying, Faithful, Gentle Spirit. She has left us here on earth, but is now with her Lord watching over us. She will live on in our hearts forever.
