Rita Ristroph Labry was entrusted to God’s loving care Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 5:05 a.m. at the age of 88. She was the retired district director for St. Charles Public Social Services, a native of St. Francisville, and a resident of Hahnville.
Labry is survived by her daughter, Linda Fleniken and her husband Lee; her sister, Phyllis R. Mondy; her three grandchildren, Dawn Fleniken, Chris Fleniken and his wife Mary Jo, and Mark Fleniken and his wife Kami; and her six great-grandchildren, Sean Bergeron and William, Alexandra, Morgan, Emily, and Riley Fleniken.
Labry was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Labry; her parents, Leopold and Josephine Ristroph; her four brothers, Paul, J.D., John, and Leo Ristroph and her two sisters, Claire Blawfuss and Erlyne Madere.
Visitation commenced on Monday, July 20, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville. Entombment followed in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland was in charge of all arrangements.
