Myrtle Hymel Kinler

Myrtle Hymel Kinler, 93, joined her loving husband, Wilson Joseph “Bussey” Kinler Jr. in heaven on March 28.

Mother and mother-in-law of Kay K. and Henry Azuma of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Kim K. and Paul Sweeney of Sacramento, Calif., Karl and Sheri Kinler of Joplin, MO, Brian and Paula Kinler of Milton, WI, Noel and Karen Kinler of New Iberia, La., Ned and April Kinler of Luling and Quin and Cheriė Kinler of Brusly, La.

She is the grandmother of Amy Badgley, Dory Quinn, Jason Azuma, Gina Cox, Katie Miller, Erica Heling, Zachary, Kelly, Kyle, Cory, and Bryce Kinler, Sarah and Aaron Sweeney, Jessie and Nicholas Hebert. Great grandmother of Kellen and Acadia Badgley, Olivia Azuma, Madelyn Miller, Isabelle, Presley, Nora, Lana, Laurel and Brantley Hebert, and two expectant great-grandchildren, Gianna Heling and Carson Kinler. She is sister of Maisie Chartier, Ray Hymel and Emily Lavelle.

She is preceded in death by her parents Sidney G. and Louise Marie Hymel, her siblings Sidney Hymel Jr., Robert Hymel, Virginia “Virgie” Becnel, Dorothy Clouatre, and Heloise Becnel, and one great grandchild, Maria Faustina Heling.

Ms. Myrtle was a lifelong resident of Hahnville, a retired Hahnville Elementary School Secretary after 14 years and a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Visitation was held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville followed by mass and entombment at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Taft, La.
