Achille “Skipper” Petit Jr. passed away April 19.
Petit is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Elsie Zeringue Petit, his children Tina Caballero (George), Chris Petit (Laura), Sandy Petit (Denice), Susan Toups (Ronnie), Rhonda Sigrist (John Lee), and Kara Gutierrez (Valentino), his grandchildren Lynn Adams (Johnny), Stacey Bailey (Jim), Carmen Wright, Dave Petit (Tammy), Mark Petit (Amanda), Kyla Loupe (Shawn), Israel Toups, Annie DeRoche (Chris), Tabitha Bridevaux (Jeff), Jonathan Sigrist, and Jake and Eric Gutierrez, and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Jacqueline P. Pitre.
Petit is preceded in death by his siblings, Ada Petit, Evelyn P. Ray, Edvidge P. Poche, Phedora P. Friloux, and Curtis Petit Sr., as well as his parents Achille and Ada Zeringue Petit Sr., and grandson Joshua Petit.
Interment was at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.
