Morris “Blue” Harris

Morris “Blue” Harris departed this life on Monday, March 9. A native of St. Charles Parish,. a resident of north Little Rock, Arkansas. Morris Harris was born on May 16, 1950 in New Orleans to the late Thelma and Celestine Harris Sr.

He was the eldest of 11 children.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, A’Lisha Harris and A’Nitra Isaac;  two grandsons, Isaiah and Sir Henri’ Harris; one son in law, Brion Isaac; three brothers, Rev. Celestine Harris Jr., (Eunice), Lionel Harris and Gary Harris (Regina). Six sisters Joyce Harris, A. Jennifer Penwright, Lydia Williams, Barbara  Washington, Judy Lewis and Tammy Gordon, four godchildren, Reanda Fields, Morris Harris, Carlyn Diggs, and Alana Williams, also a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers, fellow coaches, players, family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Mount Zion Church, Ama, and Canaan Baptist Church, Killona, employees of St. Charles Parish Schools, St. Charles Parish Recreation Department, and other friends and employees of St. Charles Parish are invited to attend the Home Going Celebration at Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 1600 Westwood Drive, Marrero, La. at 9:30 a.m.

A Capitol One account has been established for anyone who would care to donate to the Coach Blue Memorial Scholarship Fund.
