Olivia A. Gendron, age 96, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the St. Charles Parish Hospital. She was a native of Lucy, Louisiana.
She was an avid caretaker during her life for her family. She is survived by four sisters: Marguerite Hingle, Ruth Dolese, Juanita Woodruff and Delores Herrmann and her husband, Ralph; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Gendron and Alice Berthelot. Three brothers, Clifford, Edward and George Gendron.
One sister, Louise Ory and five brother-in-laws, R. G. Champagne, Gus Dolese, Chris Hingle and Alphonse Ory and Bill Woodruff. A special thanks to Billy and Karen Woodruff for taking care of her during her sickness. Visitation was held on Saturday, May 30 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edgard.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. from the church with burial following in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco.
