Huey R. “Frenchy” Falgoust

Huey R. “Frenchy” Falgoust, 77, a native of Vacherie and longtime resident of Des Allemands, died on March 20, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Lou Sparks, sons, Keith Falgoust of Luling, Robert Falgoust of Cut Off and Timothy “Can Man” Falgoust of Des Allemands; daughters, Robin F. Adams (husband Mickey) of Houma, Roberta F. Comardelle (husband Gilbert Jr.) of Des Allemands and Monica Falgoust of Des Allemands; sisters, Leanna F. Kraemer, Cheryl F. Tregre (husband Ricky) and Ericka Schaubhut (husband Bert); stepsons, Jamie, Todd, Glenn and Marty Foret; stepdaughters, Karen Breaux (husband Gerald), Shirley Hendon and Barbara Rushing; grandchildren, Jeremy, Patrick, Christopher, Brett and Katie Falgoust; and numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Adeline Chauvin Falgoust; his wife of eight years, Sylvia Breaux Falgoust; parents, Edmond and Agatha “Agot” Rome Falgoust, sister, Laura F. Fonseca (husband Junior), daughter-in-law, Sandra T. Falgoust, and brother-in-law, Frank Kraemer.

He was a member of Bayou Blue Assembly of God, American Legion and The Lions Club. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was retired from Avondale Shipyard. He was a graduate of Raceland High School.

Services were held March 30 at Bayou Blue Assembly of God in Houma with military services following. Burial was at Sunset Cemetery in Bayou Gauche. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samart Funeral Home of Houma to assist with funeral expenses.
